TS occurs when one of the two X chromosomes normally found in females is missing or incomplete. The syndrome is named after Dr. Henry Turner, who was among the first to describe the features in 1930s.

Hi, I'm Ferrial!
Welcome to my 'Walk for Ferrial' website. I am 4 years old and I was diagnosed with Turner Syndrome at 6 months of age. Walk for Ferrial was the idea of a 16 year old high school student who wanted to do something to raise awareness for Turner Syndrome. Each fall a fundraiser is held - Walk for Ferrial - and proceeds are donated to Tuner Syndrome Society for research. I hope to see you in November at the next Walk for Ferrial. |
